Here I talk about what could be 15 keys to storytelling through video marketing. My perspective and approach you already know, always remaining human:

  1. The video should be short, no longer than 1:59 min. Short but intense. However, some a little longer could also work, I do not recommend more than 3:30 min.
  2. It is advisable to include short sequences that explain the before and at the end, the after. Short and direct sequences.

  4. It is important that in a moment of the video the music goes off and the voice of some of the people who participate in the video can be appreciated, an inspiring phrase, a shout, a song, etc.

  6. Try not to mix the different phases that the video could have and differentiate them by placing them in chronological order.
  7. Do not show straw, there is only room for something incredible, remember you have 1:30 min to tell a fascinating story.
  8. Do not center the story, or personify it in yourself. Talking about others makes your story bigger.
  9. Music is one of the most important elements, it is as important as the story you create or the quality of the video. That music should be able to play just as emotionally as the image – or even more. If music doesn’t make your hair stand on end, why should it have that effect on the audience? epic, solemn, horny / funny music… there are many kinds, the aim is to convey an inspiring and incredible story.
  10. The principle could explain that everything is impossible, but as soon as the story evolves, it should convey that if you can, it is possible.
  11. Beware of effects, flashes or lights that could create interlines in the video.
  12. I always talk about moments of truth, special moments that make a difference in a video, it can be a gesture, a phrase, a hug, a kiss, a silence, whatever it should be human.
  13. Sometimes you may need titles or captions to tell your story, other times you may not. I recommend that you leave it for last and first see the preview and analyze if they are necessary or not.
  14. The challenge of a good story should be to connect with people and convey emotions. The context you use can vary, for example: anything is possible, you can really make something happen.
  15. A story can be told in many ways, but you only connect when you remain human.
